Chuck Grassley Calls Out Media For Coverage On Hunter Biden

Senator Chuck Grassley took to Twitter to call out the media for its coverage of his investigation into Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, following reports that he’s facing an investigation about his business in China.

“For over 1yr I led review of Hunter Biden’s biz deals overseas w big focus on China but many Dems/news orgs dismissed/ignored,” Grassley tweeted on Wednesday.

“Some even baselessly said it was foreign disinfo… Now those same orgs report IRS/FBI subpoenaing Hunter Biden in tax fraud probe over his China ties,” he said.

The DOJ is currently investigating Hunter Biden’s finances and the probe will involve some of his business dealings in China, AP reported yesterday.

“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” Biden said in a statement.

During his presidential campaign, President Trump focused heavily on Hunter Biden’s alleged corruption.

Chuck Grassley, who is chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, investigated the accusations and issued a joint report with Senator Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Democrats accused Grassley and Johnson’s report of “repackaging” facts that were already known and it did not provide evidence of the accusations against then former VP Joe Biden.

In their minority report, Senate Democrats described Grassley and Johnson’s report as “based on conspiracy theories with roots in Russian disinformation efforts.”
