Courteney Cox recreated her turkey head dance

It is the GIF that keeps on giving: Courteney Cox, aka Monica Geller, dancing with a turkey on her head for Thanksgiving. As you know, Cox did this dance back on Nov. 19, 1998 in a “Friends” episode. The episode was called “The One With The Thanksgiving Flashbacks (a.k.a. The One With All The Thanksgivings).”

Interestingly enough, two decades later, she decided to recreate the infamous turkey dance on Instagram.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I hope you’re having a great day. I’m feeling so thankful,” Cox, 56, says in a close-up Instagram post, before flipping the switch. “And also, if I get one more g–damn GIF of that turkey on my head dancing like a f—— fool, I’m just gonna snap!

After a quick snippet of the iconic scene, Cox adds: “So anyhow, since I’m the symbol of Thanksgiving, here you go, hope it makes you happy.” The actress then cuts to herself shimmying with her face stuffed into what appears to be an actual turkey. This set Instagram on fire. People were reacting to this from every direction. At the time of writing, the Instagram video was seen over 3.5 million times. Amazing!

Cox and her co-stars — Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc — will reunite in March 2021 to finally film the pandemic-delayed “Friends” reunion for HBO Max. Many people expect that this reunion will shatter records. The premiere of this reunion should’ve happened this year but as you know, many things were delayed this year because of COVID-19, including this show.
