Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, former President Donald Trump’s VP pick, sent out a memo to supporters on Wednesday about what to expect.
“When President Trump asked me to be his Vice Presidential Nominee, this is what I told him: ‘Mr. President, it would be an honor to serve as your Vice President. During your time in office, America was at its best. Our economy was roaring, our border was under control, our cities were safe, and we were respected overseas. As your Vice President, I will faithfully serve by your side and you make our country GREAT AGAIN!’” Vance said.
“As my first act of being your Vice Presidential Nominee, I’m gathering One Million official Trump-Vance endorsements by the end of the day. President Trump will Make America Great Again, and I know together, we will win big,” Vance added.
Earlier this week, Vance told Fox News host Sean Hannity how Trump asked him to be his running mate on Monday night. Vance is the New York Times bestselling author of Hillbilly Elegy, a graduate of Yale Law School, a former Marine, and was recently elected to the U.S. Senate in 2022.
