House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has laid out a timeline for when the GOP-controlled House will make a decision on whether to move forward with an official impeachment of President Joe Biden.
On Sunday, the Ohio Republican said a decision on whether to proceed will most likely be made shortly after the first of the year, according to Newsweek.
“The House Oversight Committee is currently conducting an inquiry into the Biden family after then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a Republican from California, announced the investigation in early September,” the outlet reported on Sunday.
“At the center of the Biden impeachment inquiry is his alleged involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. The White House has repeatedly denied that the president ever had any involvement in his son’s business,” the outlet continued.
