During an interview with The Daily Caller published on Friday, White House Press Secretary called out reporters for acting as “activists” against the Trump administration during her press briefings, saying there are journalists who “shout at you as you leave the room in a derogatory” way.
“I’m done calling on activists and activists are people who shout at you as you leave the room in a way to be derogatory and demeaning. Activists are Playboy reporters who stand in the back and try to routinely heckle you and shout in between statements and words,” said McEnany.
Just a few days earlier, CNN’s Jim Acosta tried to confront Kayleigh McEnany as she was leaving Tuesday’s briefing, accusing her of spreading disinformation every day.
During the press conference McEnany called out the media for ignoring major news stories, such as Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell’s close relationship with an alleged Chinese spy and the Hunter Biden laptop story.
“Really interesting turn of events, and good for those who covered what was a story all along and not Russian disinformation,” McEnany said of the Biden story after noting that the Justice Department opened an investigation into him for taxes and more.
After ending her press conference and walking away from the podium, CNN’s Acosta yelled at McEnany, accusing her of constantly pushing disinformation.
“Isn’t it hypocritical of you to accuse others of disinformation when you spread it every day?” Acosta yelled.
