Senator Ted Cruz is calling out the very obvious corruption happening right before our eyes in Georgia as Judge Leslie Abrams Gardner, the sister of failed Georgia Governor candidate Stacey Abrams, rules to allow what effectively amounts to no rules in Georgia when it comes to voting rules.
From Red State:
Gardner recently issued a restraining order against Muscogee and Ben Hill county election officials from purging their voter rolls of people with unverified change-of-address data. This happened after election officials asked Garnder to recuse herself from the case due to her relationship with Abrams, a Democrat voting-rights operative and supporter of Joe Biden. Gardner clearly refused.
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer weighed in by plainly pointing out what Gardner has ruled to allow.
“This makes no sense,” tweeted Fleischer. “A judge (the sister of Stacey Abrams) ruled that when someone tells the US Postal Service they have moved they still can vote from their old address. Rules have no meaning anymore. This is nuts.”
Cruz then weighed in as well.
“This is absurd,” Cruz added to Fleischer’s tweet. “This is an obvious case for recusal. For Stacey Abrams’ sister to refuse to recuse—and issue this decision despite her indisputable bias—undermines the integrity of the entire judicial system.”
