California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters received some of her own medicine on Tuesday, getting shouted down by fellow House members after verbally attacking Judiciary Committee Chairman and leading Speaker candidate Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
Amid the debate, which pitted Jordan against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, after Waters voiced her support for her party’s candidate, she then took a shot at Jordan, calling him an “insurrectionist” before shouts of opposition drowned her out.
Politico reported that Jordan merely responded with a smirk, but another Republican, unnamed, said to Waters, “Huh? What did the Communist say?”
