Watch: Actress Fired After TikTok Rant Over Street Closures for Fallen NYPD Detective Jason Rivera’s Funeral

A self-described first-generation American from Hialeah, Florida ranted about closing NYC streets for a police funeral and was promptly fired.

“We do not need to shut down most of Lower Manhattan because one cop died for probably doing his job incorrectly,” opined Jacqueline Guzman, 22, in an TikTok video.. “They kill people who are under 22 every single day for no good reason and we don’t shut down the city for them.” Her unpopular commentary was posted to Twitter under the user name @vinylboobs. Not long after her post, which drew tremendous reaction against her view, the account was closed. She apparently changed her user name to @hoommway, based on a follow-up comment from @RemyRock180.

“New Yorkers turned out by the thousands yesterday to help us honor our fallen brother,” said Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch, referring to slain officer Jason Rivera. . “One person spreading hate cannot erase that. This kind of garbage has polluted the conversation for far too long.”

“We need the New Yorkers who are standing with us to speak up and push back.”

An Internet sleuth apparently tracked the ranting woman’s identity down and found a bio published by her employer on her Twitter @hoommway account. They must have contacted the employer, which soon after terminated Ms. Guzman’s employment and announced the severed relationship with a notice to their Instagram account.
